Before we find out, we return to the pub boys, who have found the address Beard gave them. A man comes to the door. They give him Beard's note. They follow him down a dark, dark tunnel, and at the end of it is a bright light. \"Is that heaven\" Jeremy asks.
Because ... Beard should break up with Jane. Higgins is still right. For one thing, as soon as Jane doesn't get the response she wants from Beard, she turns nasty and spiteful. Again, the surface story, which is about her finally declaring that she loves him and then about them finding each other, is in conflict with the real story, which is that Jane is ... not very nice. The power of the scene where Beard dances in the club isn't that it's a beautiful romantic climax. It's that it's an explanation of why he cannot seem to extricate himself from this bad relationship. What makes the worst relationships so dangerous is that they have elements that feel good that are very hard to get elsewhere. Beard knows that; he tells it to God. What's concerning isn't that Jane makes the world seem more interesting; what's concerning is she's the only thing that does. That doesn't take away from the joy of the dancing; it just tells you that even happiness is complicated.
But on the other hand, it's more opaque than most; you can spend a lot of time turning over in your mind all the little things that invite interpretation. For instance, in a story that's kind of mysterious and magical, why is there this repeated bit about Beard's keys Jeremy returns them at the pub, Red Dress returns them in her apartment, and her boyfriend returns them after he rescues Beard from James. Eventually, Beard even breaks his key off in the lock. You could read all this as meaning that he doesn't really want to go home, or that he can't really go home, or that home isn't the right place for him. It may well have a neat answer in the minds of the writers that I'm completely missing; I don't know, and honestly, that's not my business. To me, it underscores how lost he feels. He keeps literally losing his way home.
It is his little brother who suffers the most. Dillon (Jalyn Hall) is mad that Spencer hasn't been around, so Spencer tries to make it up to him by having him help sell tickets for Coop's (Bre-Z) show, but they find themselves confronted by the police instead.
As for what fans can expect from All American Season 2, Episode 9, The CW has released a synopsis which reads: \"Dillon (Jalyn Hall) is mad that Spencer hasn't been around, so Spencer tries to make it up to him by having him help sell tickets for Coop's (Bre-Z) show, but they find themselves confronted by the police instead.
Annabelle and X hop around in a fountain in the rain at Griffith College. Annabelle is conflicted about having made Rags kill someone. X wants to be honest with Annabelle, and admits that he has been spying on them on behalf of Baron Therese. He tells her that he could not say no to her, because she knows about \"the accident under the ocean\", referring to the hypothethical story he told here when she visited him in Santa Monica where on you accidentally make a childe, stake them and throw them in the ocean.[1] He tells her that he has run away now. Annabelle says that he can stay with them for awhile. Jasper appears out of nowhere to bring them back to the sanctum.
The three of them return to the sanctum at Griffith Collage. X tells Victor he has run away, and be belives Therese has joined with the Camarilla. She had told him she needed to leave early for the Elysium to talk with prince Vannevar, and he used the opportunity to leave.
While they discuss the plan to murder Chaz, Victors recives a call from Fiorenza. She is interested to see what will happen now, and says it's been nice to get to know them remotely (seemingly thinking there is a good chance this will be the last time she speak to them). She asks Jasper if he will accept the offer of becoming Sherrif. He says no, explaining that he would not be able to \"do his own thing\" if he did, and maybe if that was differant he might have accepted.
Bailey arrives to pick them up and brings two packages, one for Victor and one for Nelli. Victor has had one of the hunter weapons gold plated, and Nelli recives an assortment of military grade knives from Baron Abrams. They travel to the abandoned factory in the vally where they first meet Ramona, and wait for Chaz to arrive.
After another recap, the others tell Naomi about the titular Scepter of Night, and Elena's illuminate ability. Alacazar split the scepter into three pieces: The staff, the mount, and the jewel. He left the staff where it was, and hid the other two pieces. When you find one piece, a hidden riddle leads you to the next. The first riddle is: \"In the City of Pyramids, look into the eye of the place where macaws crawl and tortoises fly.\" This doesn't make any sense though, because macaws fly, and tortoises crawl. The city of pyramids is clearly Tepet Muul though. Elena decides to go after Shuriki. She, Fiero, Victor, and Carla are already at Tepet Muul, and wonder what the riddle means. They decide to split up. Victor and Carla are mad that Fiero acts like he's superior to them. Victor says that if they can solve the riddle and find the scepter first, they can prove to Shuriki that they're better than Fiero. Then she'll make them malvagos, and they can get rid of Fiero when the time comes. Gabe reminds Elena that she's not supposed to leave the palace. They know where Shuriki is heading though, and she has a head start. The royal guards wouldn't get there in time, but she could on a jaquin. Gabe tells her that she has to consult the grand council first. Mateo wonders what kind of powers the Scepter of Night has. Elena has another new adventure outfit. Luisa, Francisco, and Esteban are in Cordoba, firming up their alliance with King Juan Ramón. Naomi isn't sure what Elena should do. Mateo would love to get a hold of the scepter and see how it works. Gabe says that they can wait until the rest of the council gets back. Mateo points out that the scepter is too powerful, and they can't risk letting Shuriki get any part of it. Normally, Elena would wait for the others, but this is an emergency, and they don't have time. Gabe refuses to let her leave, which he says as captain of the royal guard, and her friend. She decides to let them all come with her. They make a great team. They agree to put Gabe in charge for Elena's safety. They get to Tepet Muul on Migs, Luna, Skylar, and Dulce. Mateo wants to figure out the riddle and find the staff. Gabe says that they have to do a thorough search of the area to make sure Shuriki isn't already there. Gabe is in charge, and Elena agrees with him. Mateo convinces Luna to split off from the others to help him look for the right pyramid. He thinks that if he collects the pieces first, he could beat Shuriki himself. He wants to be a wise, world famous wizard, like his grandfather before him. He finds a temple with macaws and tortoises on it, and searches it. However, he doesn't find the staff. Victor and Carla figured out the riddle, and tell Shuriki and Fiero. There's a pyramid with macaws at the bottom, and tortoises near the top, which makes them look like they're crawling and flying respectively. Both Victor and Fiero want to get the scepter for Shuriki, who is just annoyed. The others find Mateo. They all want to stop Shuriki, but he has to follow the plan. Naomi figures out the riddle and points out the right pyramid. They run into the others and fight. Both groups take cover. Fiero tells the others to run to the carriage and wait for him in the jungle. It's part of his plan. They leave, and he blasts a pillar above the others. When the dust clears, everyone is gone, and they see the carriage. The others want to catch up to it, but Mateo wants to get the staff first, and runs into the pyramid. Elena goes after him and tells the others to wait there. Mateo opens up a secret passageway and Elena follows him. Fiero hid so they would lead him to the scepter. Victor followed him so he could get the scepter. Elena and Mateo reach a room with a giant statue. It looks like a dead end. Elena says that they're supposed to be looking for Shuriki, which is what they all agreed on. Mateo says that finding the staff is more important though. If they had both scepters, they'd be unstoppable, and could easily defeat Shuriki. Elena remembers the riddle, and looks into the eye of the statue. She flips a switch, which opens another secret passageway. They find the staff, and uncover the next hidden message. Fiero and Victor learn that the scepter is split into pieces, and overhear the riddle for the next piece: \"In the valley of stars, find the sun that sparkles inside the moon.\" Fiero blasts them, and Victor takes the staff. Fiero runs after him. Mateo blames himself for leading them right to it. Elena tells him that he was thinking about what he wanted, and not what was best for everyone. But he has a chance to make up for it. A fight for the staff ensues outside the pyramid. Mateo hesitates over whether he should save Naomi or get the staff. He eventually saves her, and Elena gets the staff. Fiero and Victor get away. They tell Shuriki and Carla that Alacazar split the scepter into pieces, and they heard the riddle that leads to the next piece. When they figure it out, they can head to its location, and take the staff from Elena when she comes for it. Elena tells the others that Fiero and Victor heard the second riddle, so they know where they're going. Mateo apologizes to all of them. He was so fixated on finding the scepter and learning about its magic, because he thought it would make him a stronger wizard. He should've followed Gabe's lead and stuck to the plan. Instead, he acted selfishly and put them all in danger. He promises that it won't happen again, and they all accept his apology. The episode ends as they all learn what the second riddle is. I mean, I've already figured out that the valley of stars means Vallestrella. I'm looking forward to seeing it again. Maybe Shuriki and the others will have to get Cruz or his sister to join them in order to open the gateway. 59ce067264
